Default New Tranny...?

OK so my vibration, rattle, noise from my tranny is getting a little too much for me and I have started to look for a replacement tranny. Its almost impossible to find any kind of built tranny, but then I came across a Spoon tranny...my question is who all builds beefier s2000 transmission? and is there any kind of alternative transmission that can be ran in the s2000, say maybe a beefier 5 speed or anything? THANKS

have you determined that the vibration and rattle is due to a malfunctioning transmission. They make alot of noise when they are in perfect working order. I can almost guarantee the spoon one will be louder because they do what ever they can to make the car faster and stronger, not quieter. Also if you converted to a 5 speed you would esentially nix your cars ability to stay in the power and and thus just make your car slower. Anyway.. what's yours doing now that is such a problem?

1/2 throttle in any gear I get a vibration. Full throttle I get nothing. But with the clutch enguaged deceleration in any gear under 5 k rpms I get a vibration loud enough for people driving next to me hear it. I first thought it was the clutch rattle but I replaced the clutch, throughout bearing, pressure plate, and flywheel. Then I thought it was my rear end replaced it and still it is loud as hell. I will get video soon and post it up.

axles were replace with the new diff. like I said I am trying to get a video of the noise. It does not do the noise all the time. Mainly when the car is cold and for the first 20 minutes of driving (so pretty much the entire time I go to work, or go to school). After about 20 minutes of driving it generally dies down a little, but not always.

If I can find a good camera I will take video in the morning and post it later in the evening. THANKS

I'm kinda having the same problem but it's not a vibration. It's more like a metal on metal rubbing sound. It usually happens when the car has been driven for a while. I've checked the brakes, not that. It's going on a lift tomorrow to try and get a better diagnosis. It almost sounds like a bearing with no grease that gets hot.
