Aside from that, isn't it S2ki's policy to disallow unpaid advertising in their forums? Isn't this an advert?
But Speed craft which is so far the only competitor. They are not a sponsor. So I don't think this is an advert. And there's plenty of advertisement for them. I think we should all give XERD a chance. Let him show us what he can build.

"finish a twin turbo kit on a dodge avenger (not an easy kit to make) "

Hope you replaced the pistons.....they break easy in the avengers!

4000 grand for a mean turbo thats able to spool up on the lower end of the rpm band and they will beat your door down...s2k owner is picky..educated..and has the wallet and car to back it up.
If you make a great kit they will come.....you'll sell 25 kits in the first two months easy....show dynos ...Have good customer service and forget it you will sell 12 a month for at least a year.
Ok get back in the shop ....you can take a break to crap and piss...
beer run...and hit that plastic sax every few hours...keeps ya detailed oriented.....get to work we are waiting.

XERD, I've been following the posts on your topic and every other turbo related topic for the S2K for the last 4 months. Needless to say I am very interested in seeing a good turbo kit for the S2K. I am seriously considering the Stage VI turbo kit because it's almost exactly like the Speedcraft, but cheaper. I would be elated to see you pull off a good turbo kit for the S2000, and would be one of the first in line to buy one from you if it works out. In the end, price will be one of the biggest selling points as I figure many people want to just have a turbo kit on their car. Any numbers that you expecting to see? RWHP, or 1/4 mile e.t.'s?
Try not to be discouraged by the negative criticism you receive. This board has had more than it's fair share of "if we build a turbo kit" crap, so we're trying not to get too excited. The proof is in the pudding. Build a good kit, you'll be selling more kits than you can make.

Best of luck!!!

This was one of the first s2 that was turbo charged. I really liked the designe of the manifold and the Turbo set up. Do you guys think you can make something similar to this? Here's a link to the article. If someone can paste on to the thread that would be great.

I've seen this setup at AEBS in San Diego. The turbo kit is a custom kit by Kiwi.
The Kiwi equal length manifold is great but costs a lot of money.
Also the bottom end is built, AEBS sleeve costs like $1500+
Not even to mention you have to buy new pistons/rods...etc.
The final setup will cost at least $10K.

There is another setup by Atomic Performance (Import Builders) few years ago, also running custom kit but then it blew the piston rings when I talked to Atomic Performance.

These two setups were all created in Cali. before Speed-Craft came out.

I'd love to have the kiwi manifold.

XERD,

Quick question: will the kit be CARB certified? I'm interested in FI, but my goal is to improve drivability at <6k RPM. The current crop of superchargers don't seem to do that, from what I gather. The turbos, OTOH, are not certified. Address this issue and you've got a customer. BTW, I'm located close by...

sgr,

Our turbo kit will NOT be CARB certified. Most of our products are only legal for off road use only. We had some customers who added high flow cats to their applications and passed emission test this way. It would be beneficial to us to have CARB certified parts but it is too expansive and will make it difficult to keep retail prices down.

Thanx. Art
