Nissan differentials in S2K.
I'm no expert since I merely read the thread, but I memorized it well. I don't have any hard number to answer your questions. What I can recall is that the width of the 350z diff is very slightly larger than the s2000 one, thus making it easy to fit the s2k axles. The side flanges' bolt pattern matches up well to the s2k axles so they're bolt on. All you need to do is to fabricate the proper mounts and find a way to custom mount the s2000 driveshaft to it.
Ah, cool. That axle got built in spacers then.
I´ll try to find one and pay the owner for some measuring.
Teach me some proper English here, trying to learn. Some people say drive shaft to both the one between tranny and rear axle and the ones between axle and wheels.
Isn´t there different names on these parts? Confusing sometimes.

Its worth checking out Hybridz.org. The drivetrain forum has a wealth of information on the various Nissan differentials and pros/cons. Any of the later model R200 diffs will be stronger than anything a f20c can dish out. My old rb26 powered 240z was putting out 300 rwtq and the r200 never blinked an eye. The gear ratio may not be ideal with our transmissions so doing some research on the best set up is a good idea. The 350z has a viscous diff (r230 version) I believe, but you can find aftermarket clutch type or geared LSD versions (such as Quaife) as well. Good luck. Keep in mind the R230 diffs are over 100lbs in weight.

The usdm 240sx had 6 bolt flanges. The r200 vlsd sucks ass, though. The whole vlsd concept is a terrible idea.
The gear ratio for the 240sx and 350z were the same, IIRC....the 240sx for sure was 4.08:1. That's close to the S2000's 4.1:1 ratio.

Interesting, so stock axles can be used (assuming the diff is mounted in the same spot)? So basically you just need custom mounts for the diff and some sort of adapter/extender for the driveshaft?
Does anyone know how the inline mount kit works? Does it position the diff in the same spot and use stock length axles? I ask because maybe inline would sell just their mounting hardware/adapters separately without the upgraded axles and driveshaft? Guess best thing is to just give them a call..
