No heat, No fan question
Hey all!
On the way up to CHD/FDR my blower motor quit a few times, but would work again after some time sitting off. Changing the speed up or down and nothing would happen after it quits. Also, found that I wasn't getting any heat out either. Not sure where to begin on debugging it (fuses look fine), but it felt like the coolant valve was not opening to let coolant into the heater core when selecting heat. I manually opened it but I am guessing the blend door isn't opening either and it is making me think maybe something is related between all of it.
Cooling system hasn't been opened up in a few years. Definitely no air in the system. Good to meet many of you up at the tail!
Thanks!

Just to follow up. I ordered a replacement air mix control motor and replaced it and now I have heat again! Unsure what the problem was, but I did open up the old one and found one of the drive gears sheared off its station. I'm not sure if that was from me opening it up or if it was the problem to begin with.
Replacement was a pain solo! Make sure to turn the thermostat to cold before pulling the old one and have plenty of light. Try to line up the nubs in the arms when horizontal.
Now I need another mountain drive and see if the blower cuts out again.
