I seriously doubt that. Think about it: Oil runs down into oilpan, and then gets sucked up by the pump through the sump. If you're low, you can't pick up oil, you're screwed pretty much on the spot. Either the sump can get the oil and pressurize the system, or it can't and you're royally $#^#@.

^oil pressure does get lower if the resv. is lower...my old car had a oil pressure gauge..i could tell if it was at half (of full/low dipstick) or if its full.

ok so the vtech is back i did nothing but change the oil and let it cycle thru for about 3 days and now i have no problems at all. The inital stutter is gone, pretty sure due to low oil.

So i have no clue what happened all i know is that the vtec is back and the guy up at honda said that he has no idea what happend.

Our cars are very very sensitive to oil levels. Oil level checks should be an at least weekly occurance.

So you posted up a thread and hadn't checked if your oil was low?! You need to check your oil every time you pump gas.
