Default Noise while backing up!

I just put on some xp8s all around and had the rotors turned, and I like the setup a lot. However, while on backing, either in gear or in neutral, I am getting a horrible metal on metal sound from the rear of the car, mostly the driver side. I put the rear pads in the bracket in then put the caliper over them, and it looked like they were in correctly. Is there any there any special trick to placing the rear pads in. The tech at the dealer said it sounded like the inner most pad. I am taking it apart tonight but do you guys have any advice in regards to what to look for?

Look for street pads and install them. I believe XP8s are considered track pads and are prone to making noise.

The nubbins, backing plates, the piston is on the inside so if the piston is backed too far in and has not come out (use the handbrake, etc) it can cause that noise. But they will still be much noisier than stock.
