Default Is this normal for a stock diff?

I'm getting ready to swap to an AP2 rear subframe and noticed that both stubs on the diff have play in them when I move them front to back and up and down. Is this normal for an S2000? Feels like the side bearings might be worn, but I'm not noticing any symptoms.

Apologies for moving the camera while wiggling the half shafts. Hopefully by watching where the shaft goes into the diff you can see the movement. Anyone else seeing this on their diff?

That’s quiet a bit of radial play. The shaft fit to the spline should be tighter than that. I think would recommend pulling the diff cover and checking the diff case and backlash when you swap the axle into the new subframe.

I've already reassembled the car. I'm going to just drive it. If it gets worse, good excuse to go to a shorter ratio.
