I recently did a clutch job which helped this problem A LOT.. But there is still a hint of it.

If I am going at high speeds @ high RPM I let go of the gas and it does not feel smooth, I have no other s2k to compare too so i am not sure if this is normal.

Mine feels similar. Alot of it is probably caused because the throttle plate in the throttle body slams shut when you release the gas pedal?

 

Yep, mine does that too. I just look at the traffic ahead so that I know when to start taking my foot off the gas. I just ease it off now instead of just releasing and it feels normal.
