Default O2 sensor probs

i recently had my clutch and flywheel replaced under the service bulletin and ever since Honda has not been able to clear my check engine light. They said the code was for the O2 sensor and they replaced it and the light is still there. They have had my car for 3 weeks out of the last month and I am wondering what everyone thinks I should do about it. I am thinking about calling Honda of America and making a gripe but am unsure. All inputs are appreciated.

Go back and make them fix it. If they don't, then call Honda of America. There's a problem, otherwise you wouldn't have a light. If they changed the O2 out and it didn't go away, I would suspect (based on the other work) that they snagged one of the O2 wires on the way out. Have them do a thorough test according to their shop manual, they should be able to find the problem.

Well, you never answered my question so I can not intelligently answer yours. If it's not costing you anything and it fixes your CEL, then who gives a shit?!

Sounds like the tech was just following one of their cheese ball troubleshooting trees (which is not super comprehensive, probably doesn't have the tech even bother checking wire continuities). Those trees always end with some stab in the dark replacement of a part that isn't in stock.

Even if it doesn't turn out to be ECU, you probably will be told it was so they can keep the myth alive and get paid (warranty work) w/o looking like the fool

We'll probably never know!
Good Luck

BTW, Knowledge, nice tude

Hehe, I'm just playin' around. I like the way Adam Sandler asks, "Who gives a shit?!" I think he does it in Billy Madison... maybe a few others too.
