Centering the steering wheel is part of setting the front toe. If the springs did settle significantly toe will change with ride height.

Personal perception can make the steering wheel seem to be offcenter as well.

I think some would call it straight, i would call it off by 2 degrees. Xviper said their is another way to adjust the u-joint in the steering linkage and move one spline over. We will see. Thanks all.

I don't recommend doing that unless you had it off 1 notch when you replaced the short block and you know exactly what you're doing. One side of the U-joint the steering shaft has an indentation for the bolt to slide thru'. If you're off 1 notch there, you might not be able to slip the bolt thru'. Plus, I think 1 notch on the U-joint is even bigger than 1 notch on the steering wheel.

If it's just a couple of degrees off, I would just either ignore it or adjust the tie-rods to correct.

I forgot what the Honda services mgr told me but to correct the wheel from being 2 degress to the right, how much should you turn the left and right tie rods and in which direction?

I don't think I'll mess around with this, just bringing it back to the alignment place to adjust.

Update: Alignment place adjusted it with a centered steering wheel, still a bit off centre though. Might have to try the tie rod adjustment at the local Honda dealer.

Did the tie rod adjustment and now the steering is how i like it. Such a sensitive piece of machinery the S is.
