Default Oil Catch Cans

I'm after putting on a catch tank,

I've already decided I'm not going for a breather, and I am getting a baffled one, I'm going to feed from the head to the tank and back to the correct inlet area. Now I have a few questions.

1. Should I use two catch tanks, one for each of the two valves. Or use one and leave the other alone. Or use one and block off the other?

2. Oil drainage, are they normally easily drained, or have to be removed? (thinking a small QR valve with hose attached)

3. Can the oil be poured back in the engine or should it be discarded? Mine uses quite a bit of oil if I VTEC it lots, so can take 2-300ml per tank of fuel. If I drive like your granny, I'll use less than 50ml per tank of fuel.

4. How often should the baffles be replaced? if at all.

Are you billowing clouds of smoke during heavy continuous right hand turns? If you want maximum oil recovery then yes two tanks is the way to go. I don't see why you couldn't pour the oil back in, it's the same oil that was already in your engine, but I admit I'm not completely sure since the PCV system is also sucking up the blow-by from the engine along with the oil.

There was a thread about drain back cans in the FI forums a while ago.

Get the dual catch can kit from saikou michi http://www.saikoumichi.com/Stage0_S2000.htm
I just finished installing mine and it's a great piece of kit designed just like it should be with no drain back.
300ml oil on one tank sounds very much though, I would drain it separately first and check how diluted the oil is before pouring it back in the engine.
Hm just realized you probably got a rhd car so not sure how well the Saikou kit it would fit then.

Well I've gone for these.

Have only the breather setup at the moment, make sure all's fine, before connecting the PCV up..
