Sounds to me like the Bosch and STP that were torn apart for investigative purposes were the best 2 that are available here in the US.

docofmind, do you recall where these articles were? I'd be interested if the differences noted were significant or negligible unless maxing out the vehicle constantly.

I've never owned a high-performance sports car before, but I have extensive experience with extreme use vehicles. I never had a problem with sludgy oil in my old Jeep and I drove the wheels off that rig (one time I did that literally...) on the streets and in the mountains.

I'm not looking to be cheap or to cut corners, but I'm also not one for spending the time and money on maintenance or upgrades and such that have no meaningful impact on use or reliability.

I really appreciate any information you can toss my way...and I will also do some searches through the archives now that I'm starting to think of more questions.
