Oil consumption

Just to add my experience. My 60k mile '04 has never consumed any oil, except maybe a mm or two on a track weekend. But I had an 05 RSX-S that would go through at least 1/2-3/4qt of Mobil 1 between 5,000 mile change intervals. I read about some guys on here experiencing higher consumption with Mobil 1, so I started using Castrol synthetic in the RSX. Consumption stopped immediately. Now I use Castrol in the S as well.

Seems more than usual. What your saying is a quart every 1k? If so try castrol 10-30 high milage. Stay away from synthetic. If your burning more than that you may have something else going on. Maybe you need to hit VTEC more? Just kidding drive how you want.
Good luck! My ap1 used around a quart every 1k with synthetic. The regular oil does not burn as much. Big improvement. I drive in hot weather mostly. I drive it aggressively most of the time love to let it ring. 120+k miles on original stock 2002.

I'm not Bill. But, this is what I've always used in my S2000. I change oil every 5000-miles with new OEM oil filter.
