Oil leak?

I agree. I would wash the area and see if it comes back...if not, then its just the ran over oil.

thanks guys i haven't been able to wash it yet with work and school but when i do how should i remove the oil from the underside of the car?

Run a garden hose into your house to a hot water tap and use a hand nozzle to spray the area. The hot water should get most of the oil off. Afterward it dries, you should silicone spray all the rubber parts that you hosed off - shock cover, steering rod cover, ball joint grease boots and any rubber suspension grease boots in the area.
If you can't get hot water from your house, go to a wand wash and use theirs.
