Default Oil usage

Hello everybody,

I know that this topic must have been talked about for age but i'm wondering if it is normal to still consume oil at 22.000 kms (13750 miles).
I'm still using 1 liter every 6000 kms.

I can't wait to switch to full synthetic oil and i've read everywhere that it is recommended to wait until the motor isn't consuling any more oil.

I have a stock '02 suzuka blue S2000 and i love it :-)

Thanks in advance for the response

I am still using oil when I autocross, and I have 21K miles. I switched to Mobil 1 at about 7K miles.

Another owner has just reported having around 70 something thousand MILES on his car and it still burns a bit of oil. Just change to synthetic at your mileage and keep an eye on it for the rest of its life. Don't worry about it unless it gets extreme.

Thanks a lot guys.
I'll switch to full synthetic at my next service.

At nine thousand rpm, it's hard to make an oil control ring that works perfectly!
