if you do open header your engine will get broken cause its now flowing the gases correctly outward. my buddy did that and the headers started glowing red.....the engine got so hot you could see steam from the engine...in the end his engine melted and he had to get a new one...so i would not suggest it.....

NOT.........but anyways yes it is really loud.....i think its WAY louder than the invidia v3.....

It's honestly not a good idea.. It's loud (and fun.. lol).. BUT, most importantly, if you plan on having it off for an extended period of time (more than 50miles or so.. lol), it has the potential to cause damage to your valves.

I've seen it happen before on two other S2000's. One had a bent valve, and on the other guys' S, he ended up having to go in for a premature valve adjustment (like 20k miles prematurely..), because he started developing a valvetick from it and a mis-fire. LOL. I guess, but that's just what he said..

Regardless, it's a rather silly idea.. it'll be LOUD, you'll have no torque, and plus your seat bracket bolts will be hot as piss. Oh yea, in addition, if you've done anything to your factory carpet in and around the transmission tunnel, as far as the sound-deadening material between your carpet and your metal floorpan, more than likely, you'll be smelling burning carpet..

Overall, I vote for a no-go on this... Highly unadviseable. lol

Buuuut, if you choose to do so, good luck! and don't go for long without your exhaust off!

Oh yea, at night, it's tons of fun taking it up to 8 or 9 and letting it accel-off, and watching the flames billow under your car, and the glow reflect off cars around you in your reflection LOL..
