Default Out of Action!

2000 Ap1 with 70,000 miles. Bone stock

This is my only transportation and i need help badly! I had the master cylander replaced (was leaking) and bleed the lines personally, and had the firestrone dealership do it as well. Whenever i put the car in gear, while sitting still....it goes fine...no grinding, except maybe 5th is semi hard to put in while stopped. WHen im driving 1st and 2nd are easy, but any of the above gears are VERY notchy. They grind, and if i put it to fast into gear it wont even have a chance to go in. But if i baby it, and fight with it then they wont grind. The clutch has no extra play in it, and its not slipping.....i can redline the car, and what not fine....its jsut the gearbox that is messing up.

whats the deal!

Try changing out the tranny fluid and overfill it.

I have not replaced the slave, where is the slave located? Inside the tranny bell or outside? It may be the push rod being horrible adjusted...how do i adjust it, forward or back? up or down? tell me more about this pushrod please!

oh god, a total car noob. get it towed to somewhere before you screw something up. the slave cyl is on the outside of the transmission, bottom side, on the driver side, on the front of the transmission. you don't need to replace it unless its leaking.

the pushrod is on the back of the clutch pedal bracket and it goes into the master cyl. there is a nut you turn on the back of it to shorten/lengthen the amount of stroke when you press the pedal.

You had a previous thread just like this one a few days ago. What happened to that? I told you to take the car back to Firestone and print off the DIY instructions here for bleeding your slave cylinder. In your previous thread you state that the clutch master cylinder was replaced. I understand the clutch master cylinder and the slave cylinder to be the same thing. Since you also state in your previous thread that you didn't have these symptoms until after the slave cylinder was replaced why don't you make sure that is operating correctly first, then go from there. Double posting the same question just wastes time.

I also told you to take the car to a competent mechanic. It is painfully obvious that you don't know what you're talking about here. Firestone is going to realize this and they're going to keep screwing with you. Get the car into a dealership or a very reputable shop in your area. The S2000 isn't a civic, there are a lot of specialized bits on this car that Firestone won't have the first clue about. Get the car to someone that can understand it and service it properly.
