I would definitely check the compression if you already have a compression tester. Otherwise, if it drives and sounds okay, it probably is.

Just don't do it again.

My car ran o k, except at idle it was a little rough.

The Check Engine Light was on too.

I cracked a seal or some kind of washer for a valve in the #4 cylinder.

Like I said, a repeat or two may cause some damage like mine.
