Default P0107 MAP low voltage help

Hello, my 2000 s2000 recently threw out p0107 code. If I drive the car for 15+ minutes when coming to a stop (idle) the rpm’s drop below 800 and car begins to shake and hesitate wants to stall but won’t. I turn off the car for 5min turn it back on and it is back to normal. No power loss drives smooth. I replaced my map sensor with a Honda OEM but no luck.(did a map wack too) I also took it to a shop they found no electrical power issue all volts are what they should be. They also did a smoke test and found no leaks. They couldn’t figure it out. Also did the zip tie trick for the MAP and no luck.
car is completely stock 145k miles. Thanks

Hello, I just bought a Honda S2000 sadly it had a odometer rollback so I was scammed, odometer reads at 130,000 miles but came to realize car actually had over 300,000 miles.
Same car you told us about 5 years ago that you've only put on an additional 15,000 miles since them?

What fuel are you running? (Grasping at straws...)

Good GREAT(!) to know the old girl is still running! Run this command as a Google search in your browser. It'll search the forum but often displays easier to follow results. Just copy and paste it:

When I got the low map signal CEL my car wouldn't even turn on, and if it did it would stay in limp mode. Replacing the MAP sensor fixed that issue, although it may have been related to the main fuel pump relay, as several sensors are tied into that relay. Fun fact you can get a MAP based CEL for abnormal vacuum if your gas cap is left loose.

This seems to have been a common problem as Honda eventually added the Check Fuel Cap indicator to the instrument display panel. I think this was added in 2006 model year cars. Mine has it. Bad fuel cap gasket, or simply not tightening to at least one click -- if one is good several clicks must be better!, will cause this. Older cars just set general Malfunction Indicator (AKA "check engine light" and need the code read.

Hey guys, did another small check. When the car is idling rough, if I unplug the sensor the idle doesn’t change at all. What can this mean? Connecting pigtail is bad or is it possible Honda sold me a bad MAP sensor?

Do you get a CEL when you unplug it? Have you checked the main fuel pump relay for any deteriorated solder joints? The Idle air controller, the water temp gauge, fuel pump, and some other sensors pass through that relay so it can affect idle quality.

I’ve tried everything that I’m comfortable doing with my car, but no issue found or fix. I will be taking the car to Honda tomorrow. I’ll update everyone with what the problem was according to Honda.
