Check your IACV (Idle Air Control Valve) which is located on the side of the intake manifold. I has 2 hoses that are connected to it and held on by 2 10mm bolts. Once it is removed, clean it with either throttle body cleaner or brake cleaner (basically the same thing). Clean it throughly and make sure you get as much of the black stuff out as you can. Hopefully that should fix your problem.

you're one step behind...

the cel code is unrelated to the iac.

its the secondary air injection system, of which billman posted the diagram.

Does the secondary system have anything to do with his heater problem?

i don't know...billman probably knows.

i would guess yes, since the secondary air injection system's purpose is to heat up the catalytic converter or something to that regard...for better emissions.

however, i dunno how the heater system works...

Sounds like you have air in the cooling system.

P0411 and the no-heat issue are totally unrelated.

Check the level in the radiator (not the overflow tank) in the morning when it's cold, be sure it's completely full.

Well guys here goes again. I checked the valve. I blowed both directions but air did not seem to flow????? Is the valve to strong to blow though? Also which way does it go. I tried it both ways but both check engine light came on. Is the little end or the bigger end face the pump? I checked with the engine running and vacuum was on the end closes to the airbox. (hose 8). You guys got anymore ideas?

With the heater issue. There is no fluid in the resevior. I have to get some more Type 2 fluid probably on Wednesday and try to add and purge the system (thanks to Slows2k's info).

Didn't think so.

Kermdaddy, there should be an arrow on it, just look for it you'll see which way its pointing.
