Hello,

I just bought a 2005 S2000 on Tuesday and today the check engine light came on. The code Advance Auto pulled is P0497 Evaporative Emission System Low Purge Flow. I did a search and some mentioned replacing a purge solenoid, where is that? Is there anything else I should look into? The car is running fine. I'm new to S2000s so I don't know where these items are located.

I'm still having issues with this P0497 code. I replaced the purge valve solenoid yesterday and the check engine light came on again this morning. Any ideas where to look next? New Gas cap? Maybe change the fuel tank pressure sensor?

 

Might be your evap canister, I would get used one on ebay

 

Did you ever figure out what the issue was? I have the same code, so far i have checked for blockages and the purge valve and all seems fine.
