P1457 Diagnosis Procedures?

Thumbs down P1457 Diagnosis Procedures?

I have P1457 and i called honda for a diagnosis.
Does anybody have an idea of what diagnosis honda will go through?

I just went through this myself. The code cleared on its own after about 5 days of driving several times per day.

Apparently, the dealership says i don't have to fix this.

This is for emissions and does not affect performance in anyway.

Unless you have to get emissions...don't worry about P1457

Stupid advice from a stupid dealer.

Drive around with the check engine light on all the time, so 10 other underlying codes can come up behind it. brilliant

There are only a handful of things that can be wrong with that code. A couple of valves and the evap canister. Mine was the evap canister. Get it fixed.

Cannister vent check valve, we replace about 4 a week on hondas.
