Default Passenger seatbelt issues

My S was in an accident and the passanger seatbelt locked. When it was locked it would normally not roll up but once it did it would not retain any firmness. I replaced the seatbelt with a used one from a company on ebay. The seat belt was faulty and would not roll back up, called the company and they sent me another one. This time the seat belt will roll back but not loosen. It doesn't seem like i can unroll it and I would rather not open it up since it reads "do not open."

Does anyone who has replaced a seat belt have some advice? Must I adjust it in some form? And if so, how, could you explain?

This is pretty irritating..

I think there is a module that you need to change together with the seat belt IIRC

Sounds like on your first accident the system discharged its safety, needing to be replaced. Your insurance should have done this for you. There is a new module you need, don't know part, but that will get your belt working.

i dont think honda is responsible to replace them if your car was involved in an accident. they are responsible if you did nothing and it decided to malfunction.

trust me i just got dealing with insurance and i had to pay for my own seatbelts.

a WARNING. replacing them is MISERABLE you have to take the entire interior apart to reach them behind your roll hoops. and dont try to take your roll hoops plastic things apart because they BREAK! lol just my two cents.

Yeah, well I pretty much installed them but the actual seat belts are not working properly. Since you have done this, is there anything special you did to them? Any helpfull info you could pass on?
