Pennzoil has a Synchromesh Transmission Fluid that seems to be the same stuff as the GM Synchromesh. On the bottle it says

* For use in manual transaxles and transmissions requiring GM Part No. 12345349

I found this at a local Auto Zone for $4.99 a quart and went ahead and bought a couple quarts. I changed my tranny fluid today with it and now my tranny is so much smoother.

 

The are also Texaco and Quaker State versions.. all to the same spec.

 

Was there any more information than this on the bottle? Part numbers, etc. would be helpful.

Are all of these actually the same product? Pennzoil and Quaker State are obviously affiliated (look at the URL). The Texaco page looks very similar. If they aren't affiliated, then they plaigerized each other.
