piston rod knocking
so because of my aem v2 i sucked up a little water and now my piston rod is knocking. ive only had the intake on for a couple months but it is vancouver. i didnt know taking in a little water could cause such a big problem. the honda tech says i might as well wait till something breaks before i reduild the engine. will driving my car cause more stuff needing to be replaced in the long run? what its the rod knocking against and how did water cause this?
you can't compress water(under normal situation), your piston rod has zero chance 10 out of 10 times.
you probably bend the rod when your piston try to complete the compression stroke, the piston is design to compress/combuste fuel mixture and air, not liquid.
i would tear down the motor asap, salvage what you can before the rod snaps in half and poke a hole in your block.
i don't even know what type of crack the "tech" smoked on the job
good luck
