Default plug question

I am changing my plugs to denso iridiums, my car is NA, no mods. I checked the gaps on the plugs and they are all microns less than factory spec 1mm. If I leave the gap as is could there be any negative effects? And what happens if a plug is used with a gap that is way too small??

On page 2-2 of the factory service manual the gap should be 1.0 - 1.1 mm with a service limit of 1.3mm (.039 - .043 in.) Regap the plugs to 1.0 or to .039 in.

True.....regap them to specs....it's easy to do.

And why go to Iridiums if your not even FI?

Why roll the dice on a plug that has been PROVEN to fail and break off.

I would recommend replacing with OEM plugs and gap.

FI or NA......a failed or broken plug is broken plug... It's your car but why roll the dice on a plug that has been proven to fail?

There is NOTHING special about Denso Iridium.
