hey guys. I have a my2000 and I was hoping that someone could tell me what the unused plug under the center console goes to. I wanted to use it for a power and ground source, but there was no power to it. I figure that there is probable no fuse to it and thats why there is no power. thanks for any input.

 

If it's the big plug on the drivers side it's a OBD port to scan the ecu.

 

I think that's it too.

If you're talking about under the console when you pull it off, I think the 00-01 have something there to hook up a defrost switch.

 

i thought that it might be for the defroster, but i couldn't remember if the my00 had an option for a hardtop.

 

It did, just not during the MY00 run. I think it was wired for it, and I assume that's what you're seeing. From my S2000 book, the Japanese hadn't released it to the US until the run of the MY01.
