just had my car (stock 01) aligned on saturday. I was having a problem with it turning in when i let off the gas in the middle of a corner. I wasnt driving hard at all, and it will do it at all speeds. let off gas, turn in. back on gas, understeer. the alignment seemed to help a bit, as the toe and camber were off in the rear, but the problem is still there. Im kinda afraid that this plus my inexperience with RWD cars will cause me to spin out. here are my before and after measurements:

initial readings for the rear axle:

left rear: camber -2.14 toe +0.43
right rear: camber -1.83 toe +0.35

final measurement for rear axle:
left rear camber -1.55 toe +0.24
right rear camber -1.60 toe +0.29

Initial readings for front:

left front: camber -0.82 toe +0.13 castor +6.12
right front: camber -0.68 toe+0.10 castor +6.00

final measurement for front:

left front: camber -0.50 toe +0.01 castor +5.90
right front: camber -0.59 toe +0.01 castor +6.07

let me know if you guys see anything here that would cause the problem Im having. while the car was on the rack, me and the mechanic took a look around and found nothing to be worn. all joints were tight. thanks!

well I just had them set the camber and toe to specified settings.. I really just needed to max out the camber and i told them to set the rest to OEM.
lol you hard parker

The stock rear toe is .25'' (6mm) IN. With 0 toe, you'd oversteer really bad.

My car is tuckin tire all around, I just took off the front today as I tore part of my fender and had to bend it back and looked at the wear.

WOW, I have about 2000km's on the new tires and its bad lol. Its be lucky to get another 1500km's out of them, the rear doesnt seem as bad.

I went to to allignment shops and my car was too dumped for either so Ill try one more b4 I raise it a tad.

Im not so worries about camber but more so just setting the toe back to factory spec as I hear that is best. I need the camber to help clear the fenders but I am very curious to what it is set at now, Ill post after I finally get it done.

If any suggestions, please giver.

B serious... Could you possibly post up exactly what sort of front and rear specs, to the setup you're speaking of, for a "Street/RoadRace" Alignment??

I'm getting my first alignment on my S2000 with modified #'s other than stock and euro alignment... and I'm running Azenis RT-615's on all fours..... 225/45/17's up front, and 255/40/17's in the rear on stock AP2 wheels.. I'd prefer a slightly more agressive setup front and rear for the occasional track day or mountain run trip.. but wouldn't like it TOO agressive where these tires would see less than a 5k mi lifespan... lol

Could you possibly help!?? I'd greatly appreciate it!!

haha, and oh yea.. my new rubber comes Monday... help!!!!!!!

Thanks!!!!!!

ps, anyone have the US specs and Euro alignment specs for an AP2 to compare like side by side???? I'd just like to see!

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best regards,
Tylor W.

Im dunmped, part of team ssc.

Sad truth though,m I went to over 6 places with the so called lowest racks in town and my car didnt fit onto one. I had to raise it 1cm to JUST clear and this was still using many, MANY pieces of wood still.

Ill post my setting tomorrow or friday. I oculd run way more neg camber but Id rather have a car that will handle like a dream at the track then be dragging frame and ride like a pos

A shop that would have an in-ground alignment rack... which at that point, when you drive up onto it, it will then raise your car into the air about 2feet to begin the alignment process. After the alignment is complete, the rack will lower back down into the ground, and you can drive straight-flush off of the rack, and onto solid ground

Easy.
