Default Problems after new clutch install

Installed a clutchmasters stage III clutch with aluminum flywheel over the weekend. Was done by an ASE certified mechanic shop. So far the clutch seems ok except:

The car is idling strangely (rough and low). I've stalled twice when dropping it into neutral to coast (not because of poor driving, so don't say that). The check engine light is on and the code reads "knock sensor".

Has anyone ever had a problem like this after a clutch install? Any ideas?

Also, the engine "settled" during the install and is now causing a rattle against my cusco frame supports. Is that really normal?

help!

I dont know about the "settling" your referring to but I broke my Knock sensor putting the top starter bolt back in and had similar issues. And unfortunately the sensor is a ridiculous 170 bucks!

Yeah...your mechanic busted the knock sensor. Unfortunately, it is very easy to do...it is right in the way of the upper starter bolt.

A ton of stuff can cause knocking... setting off the sensor. I would take it to a dealership and see what they say. Putting on too light of a flywheel can cause the engine to stall as well. I don't believe a knock sensor would shut the motor off, but who knows.. may be a fail safe of some sorts? How high an rpm are u disengaging the clutch? Too high an rpm + disengage = stall. I just rev match down shift all the way to a stop...

The knock sensor will certainly turn off the motor. It did when I spun my number 2 bearing. And maybe im misunderstanding what your saying but too high an rpm + disengage = last time i did it!
