My 4.57's whine as well. I got 'em from Rick, they had the polydyn coating, I had 'em cryo-treated and am pretty sure they were installed correctly. I have about 1500 miles on the car now (largley due to driving to WTD '04).

They still whine but I also got used to it. It sounds very tough most of the time. Passengers (also S owners have commented the like the sound).

Mine is definitely RPM dependent (around 4100 +/- 100) and really only occurs under and increasing load (ie accelerating). Once out of that RPM range you really don't hear any whine.

You are going to have much less torque for the drivetrain to handle with out a turbo, than say if you launch the car with a 2 step rev limiter, making 10 psi of boost off the line. Of course you will just break the tires loose unless you have slicks, which then makes it a guarantee that you'll snap something...

i m interested in this also. keep the updates coming.

One thing i notice at the track this past weekend is that this car gets better times if its spin off the line rather than hooking up right away. To get better times safely i think the formula should be a great top end rather than a good 60' considering the weak drive train. Prop some sort of tunning to run low boost of the line lets say 10psi of the line at 5-6k and have the boost increased after 6k to 18psi (this numbers are meant for built engines)

I think I know who makes it... If so, I'm impressed. It's a major company in domestic racing and tuning. I was reading a 5.0 Mustang and Super Fords magazine(lots of turbo modular engines inside this one) and saw an ad with a differential that looks virtually identical to what you've posted!

But on another note, my real job is eating 16-20 hours a day. It should slow back down by the end of June. I have a Dyno lined up, so it is now Gaskets and Time that I need.

Stay tuned.
