What are the five first things you'd do to the S2000 to get to the magic 1G mark (on street tires)?

front swaybar (larger or adjustable unit)
adjustable coilovers (Tein, Zeal, BuddyClub)
alignment (semi-aggressive street alignment)
track time to balance those shocks and tune them correctly
larger wheels & tires (18x8" and 18x10" wheels with massive meat on them)

well of course, that's my opinion. But you asked! The other items such as the xbraces help stiffen up the frame but they are not necessarily an active suspension component, so I didnt include any braces in my list.

I suspect that an alignment and R-Compound rubber would get you very close, if not there.

Front and Rear Swaybars, Strut tower brace, Agressive or competition tires, coilovers(Mugen), and maybe some bigger and wider wheels.

I'd recommend 17" wheels over 18"ers, but both would probably get you there.

Despite swaybars, chassis braces, fat rims, fat rubber, etc. both the Neuspeed and the Comptech S2000s had roadholding #s that were worse than stock. Is this due to just the ride height? How low can you go (15mm?) before the suspension gets out of control?

Not sure, but maybe those cars were out of alignment?
