Default Question for geared S2000 owners . . .

What would you say have been the ups and downs of having different gears installed (4.4, 4.57, 4.77) I just want to hear the good and the bad opinions. I am close to getting gears and I want to make sure that they are the right thing for me.

1. New noises to add to the concert of noise in our cars. Livable for sure, just a negitive factor for some.
2. Higher RPM for freeway driving. Again, it was only 500 RPM more.

No detractors at all with the 4.44s I ran. Just better get up and go.

Ups:
Lots more FUN!
Better pickup at lower revs.
1st - 2nd - 3rd - 4th is a BLAST!
The car was never dull to begin with but now it feels even more alive.
4.57's are considered to be stronger gears.
Worth the money (IMO).
When DIY you get to see the insides of your diff

Downs:
Yeah.. some gear noise
More revs (in the 4.57 scenario 11.5% more).
You also need a speedo recalibrator (yellow jacket / box)
It isnt cheap (parts and labour (if needed) )

For added security: consider Comptech Reinforced differential.
For added fun : consider a shifter beeper.
