Question on Koni Yellows install
I'm pretty much set on buying Koni Yellows for my suspension set up. I've had good experience with them on my Civic and they have lifetime warranty. The problem is, I've heard that they "require slight modification to OE strut mounting hardware."
Can someone explain to me what this modification is? Because I intend on installing these with my friend. I want to know what we'd be getting ourselves into before I order them.
Also, is this "modification" reversible? Am I going to be able to put the OE struts back with no problem or would I have to buy new "strut mounting hardware?" I just don't want to run into problems if I decide to sell the car in the future.
On a side note, what springs do you guys recommend? I'm looking for a decent drop that won't require me to buy a camber kit. The rims I'm planning to buy are 17's.

We have shocks not struts
You will need to modify the OEM Rose joints in the top hats. This is a double sided rubber locator that secures a hollow tube on either side for the shaft to move through. The shaft of the Koni is larger than that of the stock shock, so you will need to use the Koni provided larger diameter hollow tube and drill out those Rose joints to with a bit that is the same diameter as the Koni shaft. The modification is not reversible, however you should be able to purchase new Rose joints from HT guy or your local Honda dealer.
Ground Control will recommend 340/380. I used 450/550. I would say the 550 in the rear is too high. Try 450/450 or 500/500 or 450/500.
The springs will not determine your drop. Neither will your wheel selection. The height of the perches will. Purchase the Ground Control adj. perches ~$400 incl. springs.
Btw, there is no camber kit for the S2000.
Hope that helps.
Btw, I may have a used set fully assembled of Koni yellow, GC perches and 450/550 springs for sale in the next week

Are the Ground Control Adjustable springs/perches $400 for 1 or for a set of 4. Their website wasn't clear.
Asura, nice job detailing the most of the steps. I could have used that about a year ago.
You did forget, however, the need to cut the bumpstops.
the bumpstop cutting is one of the few things Ground Control illustrates pretty clearly. Not to mention that you will have to cut differently if you go with higher rates..
From GC you will receive for each shock a locator, spring, adjustable perch and urethane spacer for between the top of the spring and top-hat.
