We just used it this weekend to replace diff mounts on an S2000. Not sure why you would need the 5000 unless you have another car that would require that weight.
The 3500's jack points don't line up with the s2000's jack points. Whereas the 5000's do.

There is plenty of vids with the S2k being lifted on a QJ. I understand there are different models but the research I have done says the BL3500 5000 and SLX models should all work.

I have been eying these up for about two months now. I am looking at the 12v 5000SLX so I can work on my SUV also. First coupon I see, I will buy.

Does this device really lean forward at full lift? That seems a little...insecure.

I have the 5000. Just fits the s2000. You have to basically push it to the rear wheel to get both mount points to align with the jack. My car is lowered about an inch with bracing underneath and I can drive over it no problem. Just can't have the rubber blocks on the jack when you do it. I bought it thinking I could use it with my IS350 but the jack points on the IS are actually too far apart for the 5000.

I got the 5000 as I have a Challenger and an SUV.
Slowcrash, It's a parallel o gram so it does look like it leans but it does not.
The car will move forward or backward about 16" as it goes up.
It has very secure locking mechanism and is solid solid. It does not move at all.
I bought some hockey pucks to use instead of the taller rubber blocks that come with it so there is no metal to metal.

I bought the BL-5000SLX (110v) today, shipped (241 lbs total, 3 packages) same day for free! Pretty awesome. Spring cannot get here soon enough! (especially given the blizzard I just cleaned up after here in MA)

Thanks for all the replies everyone. this is what i was going for. mine is lowered a bit, not too sure how much, and has 17's. if yours fits and the jack points line up then i'd say it's good to go. as my car sits right now my jack points are 2.9-3" off the ground, so driving up on some wood blocks like someone else showed is a must.

i'm planning on getting one of these and going half/half with my father on it for his cars, but he was skeptical spending that much and not knowing 100% it'd work for the s2000's. seems like a much smarter and easy alternative to a jack and jack stands.

This is the one I have. Bought it lightly used for $1350. I was able to do a header and full exhaust install with it. I can easily do all fluid changes on it. Probably can't do a clutch replacement though.

The 3500 I used at Mangas house last weekend for my diff mounts worked great. I couldn't get to them with the car on just jack stands and also feel secure under there moving things around. I'm lowered about 1.5" and he just slid it under the car and jacked up. Took 30sec.

I also have the 5000, and have no issues with my S. works great and planning on swapping my clutch when the time comes with this lift also.
