His video was more for attention. His main point stands: that in his experience it is solid.

My 5000SLX is rock solid, use it regularly. Most recently to drop both the front and rear subframes to install the Spoon rigid collars.
My quickjack is much safer than my 4 disparate jack stands.

What are you talking about? The pump looks just like mine and the hoses they give you are no slouch. Maybe it's the 240v version, but I don't see how this is any different.

^-- I agree. You have to keep in mind there are 3 different power options (110 / 240 / 12v) that can cause differences. If I get one I'll be going the 12v route as it makes it "portable" to be taken to a track as well if you have a trailer or truck to haul it in yet still easy to use at home.

I don't doubt that they're safe and ain't gonna fall. But the lift makes me feel better. My buddy back in Cleveland had his S2000 on my lift a couple of times and liked the concept so much he bought the Quick Jack. Different comfort levels, nothing more.

Hi Chuck, with the EZ Lift it looks like that bar going across would prevent dropping the transmission. Although it's hard to know without seeing how it places under the S2000. Can you speak to that at all? (btw, I have dropped my S2000 transmission myself before.)

The EZCarLift has a cross bar just aft of the front wheel opening and another just forward of the rear wheel opening. I've never pulled a gear box on this (or any) car but believe it has to come back before it can come down. There may be room to get the box out if the drive line tunnel has enough room. The QuickJack has no cross bars to interfere.

It is possible to raise the car higher off the EZLift with rubber pucks at the jack points. Raise the front and rear of the car on floor jacks, insert the EZLift and spacers, and raise the car. I imagine getting another foot of clearance is possible this way.

The two cross bars do not interfere with exhaust work (the rear chassis stiffener does that). No experience with drive-line work.

More than adequately fills my needs regarding fluids, wheels, etc.

I just bought a Quickjack, it was on sale at Costco (in Canada) recently. I'll probably test it out for the first time this weekend. Does everyone use the blocks that came with the unit and is it sufficient? Or is it recommended to buy the pinch-weld blocks?

Look like a useful accessory if they will fit between the chassis and lift. Let us know, I may grab a set for my EZCarLift.

But check these too. CDN$32 for a set of 4, not $90.

Nice find, Chuck! I just may pick up a set of these anyways. It will even be useful for the times that I need to use my floor jack.

I use the blocks that came with it. Never had an issue. I think if you just make sure to use 4 of the same block every time you'll be fine.

Thanks, I saw a video of an S2k being lifted using the stock block so I thought I would try them first. Finally got around to buying the ATF and putting everything together. I like forward to using it for the first time soon!
