Radio schematic?
Does anyone know where to find a radio schematic for the 2002 stock CD player?
I want to set it up so the Tape/CD button switches the audio input to an AV in so I can plug my MP3 player directly into it.
I would rather reconfigure the stock then buy a new one that has to go through the hassle of the expensive wring harnesses. I was quoted $125 for the adapter to install an aftermarket system that also used the left side switches without a remote involved.

If you think the mod will be that easy, you're in for a major shock
That being said, you might want to check out my webpage on how to get that PAC unit and keep the dash controls for closer to $40 and make your own harness.

Another EE.... Off the subject, I work in the same field as you...
Anyway, I don't see why it would be so hard seeing how I already have the switch and input capabilities without the actual tape deck. I thought if I had a schematic I might be able to pull off another line. I will look at your harness first but if anyone has any ideas otherwise I would appreciate it.

The reason why I say it will most likely be hard is that those types of selections are usually highly integrated into some controller IC. You can easily get to the contacts of the switch if that's all you want, but after that, you lose a lot of controllability since it immediately goes into a control chip....but what the hell, let me know if it turns out to be easy.
