Just send it back. The stock cat is probably the freest flowing OEM unit out there. If you want more power, use a straight pipe for the track. The Random Tech isn't going to show any major improvements (or any at all).

I have a Random cat on my Prelude, and although it fit well, it made a terrible rattling noise during decelleration. I took it back (I was in GA at the time, so I dealt with them directly) and it turned out the noise was a piece of metal that broke from my DC header when I screwed in the O2 sensor. They were worried the metal had done some damage to the bricks inside the cat, and even though it was my fault they MADE me a new one ON THE SPOT !
I can't tell you about power gains since it was on a Prelude and I put it in at the same time as the header, an exhaust, and an ecu. And I'm sorry yours didn't fit. But I CAN tell you that they bent over backwards to help me out. The best customer service I've encountered...ever.
But if you don't need one, you don't need one. I just thought you should know about my experience with these guys
