Default Rear suspension moving?

O.K., here's my problem. I have a tile floor (that's not the problem) and after i changed back to my street tires from race tires after an autoX, the tiles get moved on just one side. This would be no big deal except the tiles break and I need to replace them. This is a new problem as it never happened last season. I have changed out the rear sway bar since last season. Is there something i could have done wrong in the instulation that would cause the tire to push out on the bottom while the car is sitting still? Why only one side? Could it be the suspension resettling after being jacked up to change the tires? Does any of this make sense? I am just full of questions.

Could be the new sway bar is holding the suspension in a different configuration.
As a side note, did you torque the sway bar down with the suspension loaded evenly? If not, it may be under strain now that it sits on the ground.
As for why just one side, it could be that the side that is on the floor is already "planted" while the side being lowered exerts a varying force on the tile as it is lowered and settles. When you jack the car up, do the tires on that side have a tendency to shift in the opposite direction as when you lower it? If this continues to be a persistent problem, you might be better off jacking from the central jacking point so as to lift the whole end up at once rather than just one side. Or park the car on a large piece of plywood to distribute the weight better as the car settles.

When I torqued/ tightened the bolts, the car was in the air. I actually have re-installed the stock sway bar and that is when the problem began. I will recheck the torque settings on my bolts, thanks.

It might be inadequate mortar was under the tile when it was set. Tap on the tile and see if it sounds hollow.

This is a new one.

Congrats! Sometimes we just get the same old stuff, but you...........you gave us an interesting one.

Make sure you just don't check the torque settings. Go ahead and loosen the bolts with the car on the ground = even load, and retighten them to the correct torque specs.
