Remote Not Working?
I installed a Turbo Timer on a friends car.
It is a MY 2007
When the timer was on, he was not able to lock the car.
I read on the forum that there is a Keyless Door Control Unit under the dash and that you need to cut 2 wires from it in oder to lock the car when the engine is running with the turbo timer
The Service Manual I had since I had the AP1 Service Manual
I believe there is no Service Manual online as a PDF for the AP2
The Keyless Door Control Unit Socket was different than the one shown on the Service Manual. Might be possible since the car is AP2
Some of the wire colors on the manual matched the ones on the car and I cut the yellow and red-white colored wires just like it said on the manual
It didn't work. Actually, what happened is now the remote is not working at all. I did connect the wires back but still the remote is not working...
Then I searched the forum to program the remote (I thought I may have reset it)
It said to open the driver door, turn the ignition to position 2, press the lock on the remote, turn back to position 1, then back to position 2 and press the lock button again
It said, after you do it 3 times, I will hear the lock cycle and I did. but after I close the door, the remote still doesn't work.
What do I have to do??
Is there another way to program the remote??
