Default Pioneer Operation Beep

Does anyone know how to turn this feature off on a DEH-P800PRS or DEH-P880PRS headunit? The user manual provides no useful information on this feature.

It is very annoying to hear a beep after hitting a button each time.

The only beep function in that menu is "warning beep" for when the car turns off to let you know to take the face place off.

Check out the manual - it should say in there how to do it. I don't recall how we had to do it when I installed NH_S2K_Guy's Pioneer...

Manual is no help

The customer service guy I spoke with at Pioneer didn't know what he was talking about.

Well after speeking with Pioneer I was told:

"In the audio setting, press the Audio button on the remote to get to AUI and lowering the level down."

The problem is that on the DEH-P800PRS there is no AUI option in the Audio menu.

Yes, the warning tone is set to off. That feature is only used when you turn the key for the car off. It warns the user to take off the face plate.

I can't believe how the Pioneer service people are so unhelpful.
