Never had much luck with any Autozone starter or alternator. Usually takes 2-3 "lifetime" warranty parts to get 1 that actually works.
every autozone part i bought was a POS. i would buy OEM or OEM reman if available.

Ok guys, Just wanted to say thanks for all the responses. I got my starter in the mail today from majestic honda from Rhode Island. They were $80 cheaper than any of the list price for the starter. Got it installed and the car starts in like 1/2 a second now! How crazy that it was all due to the crappy starter. I learned my lesson and glad that every part on the car is still Honda OEM now!!!

Thanks everyone for the help everyone!

DON'T Buy a starter from Autozone - at least not for the S2K!!!

...... so question for you... you said that it would start after 10 seconds of cranking? Meaning that the starter is turning the engine over for 10 seconds? If the starter is turning the motor over, how can it be blamed for being at fault?

Just wonderin'...

It wasn't giving enough cracking power to turn over my engine and supercharger. Honda said they see this a lot with many aftermarket starters. At the end it wouldn't even start it, just turn it over so so slow!

I even took it out and put it back in 2x's and still nothing incase it was a loose ground or wire, but still had no luck. So that's when i ordered the OEM honda one from dealer and got it today. Got it in there, hooked everything back up and boom, car never started faster in it's life. It starts as soon as I touch the button!!!!
