I have an 05 s2000 with 95k miles. I replaced the TCT with a ballade sports tensioner. I also cleaned the IAC. I still have a bit of a rough idle when hot and I think I hear some chain rattle at idle (cards in spokes sound) I haven't done a valve adjustment yet. I just worry that the chain is still too loose. Should I replace the chain and gear or is that being too paranoid?

Checking the valve clearances should have been your first thing to do, or at least do it now.

Its not common/realistic at all for timing chains to stretch far enough to be a problem on this motor with just 95k miles on it.
