Default Replacing cyclinder head

Hello Guys, I got a 2000 s2000 and am having cylinder head issues for a while now. About 2 years ago I had some valves burnt so had a local mechanic fix it. The problem is that all the problem (CEL, cyclinder misfire, etc) came back. I had the valves adjusted and a leak test done...cyclinder 3 only had about 140 lbs!!! I am gonna check the retainers to make sure that they are fine.

I also got a brand new complete head that I am gonna put on now to fix the problem, I think my old head is done... The question I have is that the manual says that I need to adjust the idle rpm after replacing the head???? Is this really required? Can I drive without adjusting that? Worst case it will be off by couple hundered rpms....

Thanks
