Default Replacing HeadGasket

Hey I am about to replace my headgasket in a few weeks if I can't find out where my coolant is draining from. I am wondering if there is any recommendation of what headgasket I should replace it with? I am considering going Greddy Turbo in a few months. Thanks again.

Going to be a $600 labor job

For the Greddy turbo I'd stick with OEM. There are some concerns about the aftermarket thicker headgaskets and you won't need one anyway.

The question is, reuse head bolts, buy new OEM head bolts, or buy ARP head studs.

Whatever you do, follow the instructions to the letter and retorque after a few heat cycles.

Are the ARP head studs alot better than OEMs? If yes I might as well change it out.

if you are using stock greddy boost, your headgasket would be gone way before you worry about the oem bolt(assumping you install everything right)

if you plan to run higher boost with the snail, there's 2mm and 3mm HG, the compression ratio would drop to 170 psi ish

I am completely lost as to what that means. Where would your headgasket go?

And compression 'ratios' are exactly that, ratios not scalar values. 11:1, 9:1, 10:1 etc not 170psi.

Correct me if im wrong. I did some research and a lot of people said the 2mm or 3mm will not work too good with the greddy kit since the kit itself can't boost that high.

Is it bad if I reuse the bolts? Does honda recommend to change the bolts everytime you change your head gaskets? Thanks for all the info ^_^.

Read the first line of my first post.

As for bolts, you can reuse them but they are already stretched so you only tighten then 90 degrees twice instead of three times.
