Default Replacing headgasket questions

So, I need to replace the headgasket and I have a few questions and tell me if im missing something...

Should I replace the headgasket with a oem honda or something like a cometic?
I am also going to replace the headstuds with a set of arp, as far as the intake manifold gasket do you also recomend me to replace it with the hondata img? What else am I looking over??

Thanks

There is nothing wrong with the OEM headgasket. The Cometic gaskets listed in the catalog are for 89mm bore, not 87mm stock bore.

The big issue is why are you replacing the gasket and why do you want headstuds?

Even those running lots of boost on a 3mm headgasket are using stock bolts. For a NA application studs are overkill. Not to mention the line of ARP stud users that have blown headgaskets, possibly from undertorquing them.

well my headgasket went and I didnt know if I should replace it with stock or upgrade it. The reason for headstuds is because on my old turbo integra arp recommends replacing them once taking off the head, I just thought that was true for any car.

You need to find why the gasket failed 1st. The head and block need to be checked for straightnees. MLS gaskets are pretty damn tough. They usually fail when the head was not torqued properly, the block or head is warped, lots of boost or being severly overheated.

yes, im sorry for not posting that im not buying anything until the head is checked/shaved or whatever. I believe the head gasket went when my car over heated about 2 months ago when the fans were not comming on.

cough cough...skip...cough

Stick to an OEM HG for NA applications...and OEM studs. This isn't an Integra...the OEM stuff is pimp!

You should always replace the head bolts when replacing the head gasket The old bolts will be stretched and questionable.
