Default Resetting ECU

Is it bad/harm to any engine parts to reset ECU frequently?

Why would you want to reset the ECU frequently? Is there a code popping up? There is no harm reseting if you have the problem fixed.

I know several people who leave the ECU backup fuse out all the time. The only downsides are a chronic rough idle, disabled headlight-on warning bell, A/C resets for every driving cycle, and possibly lower fuel economy. Some people feel that it is worth it for the small gain in power that they get from always running on the default timing and fuel maps.
