Retrieved ABS DTC's - Need Help
Hi all, I just got my 2003 s2k a month or so ago and have been trying my best to make sure to make the car runs as smoothly as possible. Since I bought the car the ABS light would come on sporadically and turn off whenever it wanted, but a few days ago the ABS light came on and has been constantly lit. After reading through the forums I pulled the codes by jumping the DLC and got codes 15 and 81. From what I could find code 15 means a right-rear wheel sensor short and code 81 means an issue with the ABS CPU(?).
I am not really proficient at working on cars but I am learning slowly but surely and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction so I could attempt to fix this issue myself. Perhaps learn a few things as well

You can try checking the impedance with a multimeter. I don't know what the normal impedance is on a sensor. You can always compare it to the other side.

For code 81...
Clear the DTC. Then test-drive the vehicle.
If the light does not come back on with the same code its an intermittent failure and its okay.
If it does come back on , you need to replace the ABS modulator
