from RHD to LHD
Hi guys,
Last week I bought a Honda s2k. I really love the car, my dad bought one in 1999 since then i am in love
I bought one in the UK with only 51000 miles from 2000 with full service history.
I live in the Netherlands and we drive at the other side of the road. So i want to know what parts I need to do a lefhand drive conversion.
The following things i already know
Dashboard
Doorcards
Steeringhouse
ABS pump
Maybe someone could tell me more about this?
thanks for the reply.
greetings,
Michael

I never understood why people want to conversions on their car when they orient the car correctly for what side of the road you drive on.
Are you saying you drive on the right hand side of the road (like us) and your car is RHD? Otherwise I think the conversion is a HUGE waste of money. You will need all the transmission parts to swap it over (pedals, SS< a few other things, not sure what you could reuse and just relocate. If it were me and I could live with it, I'd dump the money into wheels, Hardtop, and some nice coilovers.

The reason why i bought the car is because the high value of the euro against the british pound and the recession in the UK. I can drive the car for a year and sell it afterwards with profit. But the car isn't that easy to sell when the steer is on the "wrong side". I don't have any problem driving the car it is only for the selling of the car.
In the Netherlands we drive on the righthandside and the car is RHD.

To the OP, I would see about maybe trying to find a wrecked/salvage car and do the transplant. If you get a good deal on the whole car, you can do your swap, then sell the other stuff off the wrecked car PLUS your stuff from RHD to some dumb kids on this side of the pond for some $$$

The quetion was because I know a car broker in Holland who has some cars, but I don't want to drive several times or buy to much parts. And maybe some tips on what to do..
cody,
Good idea but when I get pulled over by the cops, who is going to pay the fine. Or which of the two can drink some beer?

i think it would be way to pricey and too much work to do this.. i have no idea what it entails as far as the parts but think of how much money you will be spending, let alone having to do all the work. im sure you can find an enthusiast who will purchase it even if it is on the "wrong side"
