Right headlight doesn't work
Right headlight won't turn on. I turn on the headlights and the right side headlight flickers a couple of time really quick but, doesn't turn on. Loose connection? Has anybody had this happen to them? I tried to do a search and I couldn't really find anything. Thanks in advance...
I've never heard about the high-beam thing, FWIW.
The HID lights are basically arc-lights. There's no filament that's heated up so it glows like in incandescent bulbs. It's an arc of electricity, much like an arc-welder. I've heard it takes 20,000 volts to start the initial spark. After that, the gas ionizes and it takes much less electricity. So I'm guessing one of two things is going on - first, it could be the bulb itself it having issues and cannot support the arc properly. Or second, the ballast that provides the initial 20,000 volts is having some sort of issue. In either case, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REPAIR YOURSELF! Unless you know what you're doing, you can easily get killed by those 20,000 volts. Sometimes these things are intermittent, so try turning the HIDs off and on several times. If that doesn't work, you're pretty much stuck with taking it into the dealership, sorry.
(Hopefully somebody else might know more about this, though - the HID system is supposedly very expensive...)

Yeah, I've did a bunch of searches on it and it looks like it's way expensive to take care of...but, I was just hoping someone on here could help a little bit as well...thanks for the replies.
