ringing(not the phone).....
well, i recently posted a thread about the diff sounds, which i stopped stressing. i have noticed some other things that have kind of been upsetting. after a drive, or after the car has sat for more than 10 minutes....once i accelerate, doesnt have to be full throttle, i get this faint ring/whistle from behind me. it is definitley metal sounding, but not a scraping. if i have the radio on, i cant notice it. but once i have done some driving, it goes away. not sure if this is related to the diff, or the exhaust. i can see how there is some relation between the moaning/groaning and this ringing.....because, the ringing only happens while its not hot, and the groaning only happens when its warmed up. already went to honda, but they cant look at it until tomorrow, but i'm super busy and dont have time to get in there, so i turned to you guys. any help, specifically from 06 owners would be fantastic. do you guys think i should swap out the diff fluid with some le607, or just wait and put some more miles on it. i'm just about to hit 1800. any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!
oh, and by the way, the frickn "check fuel cap" warning is annoying......the gas cap is fine, why the hell wont it go away!!!!!

I get this too. So far I got it narrowed down to something with the exhaust because it came out 10x when I put in a test pipe. It was up to the point where the car was undriveable so I put it back to stock until I get a full cat back.
yeah, figured out it was the exhaust. rev'd it while sitting still and could hear it. i think its just louder while accelerating due to the more pressure coming out with the engine working harder. oh, and that freakin check gas cap warning will not go away, even with about 10 cycles of driving...........WTF
Actually having a similar thing on my '01. Very faint ringing when cold, sounds like a metal on metal vibration (think hitting a very large solid block of metal with a small hammer, but very fast). Goes away after warm.
I was thinking it had to do with some vibration in the diff that goes away when the fluid heats up. But maybe I need to be checking the exhaust brackets. Maybe the ringing goes away when it heats up enough to expand at some point. Would make sense since the ringing is very quiet and constant meaning it's probably caused by a very small gap & vibration.
